Marine Armor System expands due to increasing piracy numbers

One of the world leaders in security systems and specialists in armour for superyachts, Marine Armor System, has recently announced the appointment of Hao Lu Higuchi as an experienced export manager.

Hao Lu Higuchi brings with him an array of experience in international commerce and will assist Marine Armor System in introducing the company into new international markets.

2015 has seen an increasing amount of piracy in the Mediterranean and in other Caribbean destinations, such as along the Venezuelan coast. This has prompted Marine Armor System to establish a new strategy to try and educate shipyards, project managers, designers, captains and owners to understand that they can protect their yachts from such threats with modern-day safety systems. Hao will help in implementing this new strategy around the world.

Edurne del Rio, division coordinator at Marine Armor System commented, “Many times yachts have been boarded, beaten and robbed – but it has still not been reported as piracy. It is important for Marine Armor System to let the industry know that we can help them avoid these situations; Hao will help us introduce ourselves into new markets and we are very pleased with him joining our team.”
