Paris-based marine consultancy, MDL France, has announced that it has been selected to undertake a new design study on behalf of the Communauté du Golf Saint-Tropez, as part of a new marine development.
The design study is part of a project that will see moorings installed close to the Plage de Pampelonne, Saint-Tropez – a world famous destination for luxury superyachts. The project intends to reduce the impact of visiting vessels on local marine wildlife by encouraging superyachts to make use of the new moorings, rather than anchoring at sea.
MDL France will provide project management for the study, and will be supported by three partners in their venture – Fugro, Innosea and Jifmar – who will provide specialist assistance, including layout design, metrological and wave studies, a geotechnical study and environmental input.
Fracois Ricaud, president of MDL France commented, “We are very please to have been selected as marina consultant to the Communauté du Gold Saint-Tropez. Saint-Tropez is known throughout the world for its status as a luxury boating destination and Plage de Pampelonne is a real jewel in its crown, so it’s a high profile development to be working on.”
Eamonn Feeney, managing director of MDL France added, “We are delighted that MDL France has been appointed to manage this development at one of Europe’s most prestigious yachting destinations. Our specialist consultancy team will be supporting MDL France with services and advice on all aspects of this project and we look forward to getting started.”
MDL France is a partner of MDL Marinas Group Ltd., one of Europe’s leading marina operators, and MDL Marina Consultancy, specialist marina consultants.
