Miramar Sailing announces racing team

Miramar Sailing of Antigua continues to grow. In addition to its existing sailing operations consisting of RYA Sailing School, Vacation Charters and Day Charters, the company will now be campaigning "Augustine" in the most prestigious events of the Caribbean Regatta Circuit.

Skilfully driven by one of the Caribbean's top racing skippers, Tony Sayer, this winning combination has achieved several class awards in recent years. Both have a tremendous pedigree! Her results speak for themselves. The most notable being:

• 3rd - Antigua Sailing Week 
• 3rd & 1st - St. Maarten Heineken Regatta in consecutive years
• 1st - BVI Spring Regatta

 

"Augustine" is a Beneteau First 42.  She is CSA rated at 0.872 in Performance Cruiser Spi Class. The reputation of the First 42 as a competitive performance yacht is well known. "Augustine" is no exception, offering excellent upwind and downwind sailing with deep 7' 1" keel, folding prop, and a suit of Pentax racing sails with symmetrical spinnaker and carbon pole. She accommodates 8 crew overnight, and races with 10.

On offer are several regatta packages all of which include race training:

Race Crew live-a-board, Race Crew live-ashore and Whole Yacht Skippered Charter.
Inter Regatta Delivery places are also offered for mile and experience building.

The 2013/2014 Campaign is going to be very competitive and a lot of fun!
