Monaco Yacht Show 2015 proves to be a success

The 2015 Monaco Yacht Show (MYS), 23rd to 26th September, proved to be the most successful show in Yachting Pages’ history; according to the media group this is an industry trend for many partners and exhibitors involved in the show. 

Visitor numbers for 2015 reached approximately 34,500, according to the organisers, up on 2014’s 33,000.  Visitors were able to enjoy a range of trade stands featuring attractive competitions, PR stunts and prizes.

During the Monaco Yacht Show Yachting Pages could be found on the terrace at Stars N Bars along with partners;Fun Air, Crew Asia, DVZ Services, International Marine Management, Finkeldei, Giovanardi and Huisman Etech Yacht Services, where complimentary wine was offered by Chateau Malherbe. 

Competition prizes from Yachting Pages included an Apple Watch, donated by audio-visual specialist, Veritais, a handmade backgammon set donated by luxury leather goods supplier, Pemberton and Milner, and a selection of Olloclip lenses for the smartphone.

Winners of the Olloclip lenses were, the captain of sail yacht Solleone and the chief engineers of both motor yachts Pink Gin and Nassima and winner of the luxury backgammon set was David Sieur of Yacht Assistance Services. 

Winner of the Apple Watch, Thomas the first officer on Scorpion 2 said, “This is awesome, I’ve always wanted an Apple Watch. Thanks Yachting Pages, this has made my day.”

After 25 previous instalments of the show, 2015 was a notably different event. Higher quality footfall, more qualified visitors and a calm, positive exhibitor outlook, have all accumulated in a generally up-beat industry attitude about the four-day event.

Steven Kane, sales manager from Yachting Pages commented on the success of the event, “This years’ MYS was Yachting Pages Media Group’s best show yet, the team did an outstanding job and we keep going from strength to strength. The terrace looked fantastic and created a real positive atmosphere for us, our partners and potential clients.”
