Mural Yachts amongst 2016 IY&A Award finalists with M/Y Green

Turkey based yacht designers, Mural Yachts has been shortlisted for the 2016 IY&A Award in the ‘Concept up to 40m’ category with yacht concept ‘Green’.

The 37-metre motor yacht, Green represents a fully aluminium yacht designed with electric propulsion and to MCA LY3 standards. According to Mural Yachts, the new concept was developed for an eco-conscious client who also likes the ultimate luxury on board.

M/Y Green’s upper deck has been dedicated to the owner and offers large open spaces. The upper structure is surrounded by glass and a large sliding door entrance offers the owner and guests almost 360° views of the surroundings. As well as this, a sliding glass roof above the master bed allows for extra lighting, and supports the spacious design theme throughout the yacht.

Designed with hybrid propulsion, Green is able to cruise up to six hours at 10 knots solely on large battery banks. She boasts modern propulsion technology and open deck spaces combined with stanchions.

Last year, the IY&A Award for ‘Concept up to 40m’ was taken by the Classic 40 from Sarp Yacht. Sarp Yacht also took home first place for the Sarp46 as the winner of the ‘Concept over 40m’ award.
