New 55m superyacht to be launched at CRN

CRN, the Italian shipyard that specialises in building 50 to 90 metre steel and aluminium superyachts, has recently revealed that it is ready to launch its new fully customised 55 metre yacht.

According to the shipyard, the new superyacht has a strikingly strong identity and style, which draws on some stylistic features similar to a military vessel.

Using engine-powered hydraulic lift trucks, the yacht was positioned on the slipway, the ramp where over the next few weeks the pre-launch operations will be completed.

The steel and aluminium yacht has been moved into position at the Ancona shipyard in readiness for launch later this month in a private ceremony. Moving a yacht of this size, was, according to the yard a complex operation, which required the involvement and skills of the entire shipyard staff.

Her startling grey hull, dark glass and sharp lines give her an almost military bearing, although the deck-to-ceiling windows at each level are intended to open up the inside spaces. The interior is the work of CRN’s in-house team in association with Gilles et Boissier architectural studio.
