UK-based Trend Marine Products, a member of the Taylor Made Group, recently launched a new electrically operated and controlled folding canvas sunroof system in two ranges catering for yachts from 35’ to 130’.
Trend Marine is a world-leading producer of glass and glazing solutions for the recreational marine market and a manufacturer of carbon fibre skeletal roofs and roof drive systems. According to Trend Marine, its new roof system is already achieving substantial sales success.
Responding to customer feedback and designed for use in the OEM yacht sector, the new canvas roof system features a control interface, which is set up at the factory and is easy to install. The system both folds and stacks the canvas roof as it opens. Custom-designed for individual applications, the waterproof roof is double-skinned and durable.
The sunroof is available in either 12V or 24V versions powering an IP65-rated motor. It features a drive system, which was rigorously tested prior to release.
Jeremy Usher, OEM sales manager at Trend Marine commented, “This is a fantastic opportunity for Trend to deliver sunroof applications that meet OEM yacht designers’ and builders’ quality and cost expectations. They have asked for this and we have delivered”.
