As representatives of the Ice Yachts shipyard in Italy, Sea Independent yacht brokerage has announced the commission of two new luxury sailing yachts, which are soon to go into production.
The ICE52 and ICE62 hulls are modern performance sailing yachts, described by the shipyard to be fast cruisers designed by Feici Yacht Design, especially for competent ship owners seeking fun and excitement on the water.
The hulls are a new and innovative project from Felci Yacht Design, which has more than 30 years’ experience in yacht design and production. Both the ICE52 and ICE62 will be produced with hydrodynamic hulls with ‘T’ bulb keels and deep rudders to offer high performance.
At 15.78m and 18.83m LOA respectively, the sloop yachts boast impressive sailing speeds while travelling up-wind, matched with surfing potential when sailing down-wind with ICE52 accommodating a Yanmar sailing 56hp engine, and ICE62 a Volvo Penta D3 150hp.
The customisation options for ICE62 are extensive, with the opportunity to request a full or hybrid carbon hull and deck, lifting keel, carbon mast, larger engine, CAN bus electrical and domotic system. The price for both hulls is available upon request.
Post-production, Sea Independent has announced that the hulls will go to sea trials in Italy.
