Northrop & Johnson Asia won the distinguished “Best Asia-based Charter Company” award at the 2015 Asia Boating Awards in Hong Kong on the 1st May 2015.
Created by Asia-Pacific Boating and China Boating magazines in 2005, the annual Asia Boating Awards recognises the best in the Asia maritime industry and beyond. Presented during a lavish ceremony, the awards serve as a benchmark for the industry in the Asia-Pacific region.
Sytske Kimman, a charter broker at Northrop & Johnson Asia said while accepting the award, “We are absolutely delighted with this recognition of the public and our peers in the industry. Since we started our charter division about a year ago, we have set out to deliver the best service to charter clients. Winning this award is an important milestone toward further growth.”
Lies Sol, charter manager at Northrop & Johnson Asia added, “We are very pleased by this honour. Northrop & Johnson Asia is committed to promoting the spectacular and diverse cruising destinations of Asia, as well as the rest of the world, to charter clients and brokers.
“We use platforms such as presentations at Asian, European and Caribbean charter shows and editorial in international media, as well as Northrop and Johnson’s publications, Navigator magazine and Embark newsletter, to spread the word about the delights of yachting Asia and around the globe.”
The Asia Boating Awards’ “Best Asia-based Charter Company” is given to a recipient that they claim has provided consistent, high-quality service during the past year. The company also may be recognised for having introduced high-quality chartering services to new cruising areas of Asia, and for promoting Asian boating destinations.
