Numarine releases first 26XP pocket explorer yacht

Turkish yard Numarine has launched the first hull in its Numarine 26XP pocket explorer yacht range and will showcase it this weekend at the CNR Eurasia Boat Show 2018 in Istanbul (17th to 25th February).

Sold in May 2016 to a repeat Turkish client, the 25.68-metre (84-foot) yacht forms part of the yard’s explorer collection that includes the 40XP and 32XP. This series is designed to allow owners to travel anywhere in the world, but a significant advantage of the 26XP is that it offers the opportunity to berth in some of the smaller and more remote locations.

Designed by Can Yalman, and with naval architecture by Umberto Tagliavini, the 26XP has a maximum beam of 6.60 metres and a draught of 2.20 metres.

Accommodation is for up to eight guests across four lower-deck staterooms, including the master suite and two VIP cabins, while the crew quarters allows for a staff of three people.

The 150GT interior includes an extensive main saloon, and there is an al-fresco lounge and dining table set on the spacious flybridge, with enough room left over to store a five-metre tender.

Built from GRP and powered by two 1,200hp MAN diesel engines, the first Numarine 26XP is expected to boast a top speed of 22 knots with a cruising speed of 18 knots, riding on a semi-displacement hull. The yard says that a full displacement 1,120hp version will also be made available, offering a maximum range of 3,500 nautical miles at eight knots.

Numarine has confirmed that the next three hulls in the series will feature the full-displacement configuration, with these yachts being built for clients from Europe, Russia and the Middle East. They are all expected to launch before the end of 2018.
