One of the UK's largest independent safety suppliers, Ocean Safety, has announced that it has reached an important milestone in its lifejacket production.
Just seven months after re-locating to a new 12,000sq ft. manufacturing facility, the company’s 10,000th lifejacket has rolled off the production line.
Gary Chant, production manager of Ocean Safety commented, “We are incredibly proud of our achievement over the past seven months and it’s a true testament to the hard work and commitment of my team that such a number has been achieved. The new facility has given us the capacity to exceed demand and begin to expand into new markets.”
Mark Hart, sales director at Ocean Safety added, “The 10,000 lifejackets are a combination of the new Kru leisure range and the K2 commercial jacket. We are taken with the success of the new jackets, which have been well received by our customers - an acknowledgement to the design, comfort and manufacture of the next generation Kru.”
As part of its ongoing commitment to manufacture, Ocean Safety has successfully received ISO and MED type approval for its range of in-house designed lifejackets.
According to Ocean Safety, The MED approval for Ocean Safety’s production facility reflects the high standard and reliability of its manufacturing and distribution processes, a result of tight quality control.
