Ocean Safety’s new look Kru XS is the latest lifejacket to be launched in the upgraded Kru range. The Kru XS is a cost effective, lightweight and comfortable lifejacket which is designed to be unobtrusive when worn.
Following the success of the first generation Kru lifejacket, a number of improvements and refinements have been made including the innovative Riverseal® high tenacity nylon fabric which boasts 25% increased tensile strength over competitors’ products and superior tear, puncture and abrasion resistance.
The Kru XS is designed to be ready to accommodate a Kannad R10 AIS Safety Recovery System, and has a light fitting point, whistle and integral lifting becket.
The Kru XS is ISO 12402-3 (150N) approved but actually exceeds 180N buoyancy when fully inflated. Gas inflated, it features a 38g cylinder and is available either with manual activation cord or automatic activation. The Kru XS comes in red, black and navy.
Mark Hart from Ocean Safety commented, “We’ve reviewed the Kru design as a result of listening to feedback from users and benefitting from the emergence of new technology and fabrics. As a result we are offering a great product for everyday leisure sailors.”
