Opportunity to get involved in the Cogs4Cancer charity bike ride

Following the success of the Cogs4Cancer charity cycle ride in both 2013 and 2014, the focus has now turned to 2015. In October this year, the 24 Cogs4Cancer riders will cycle 850km from Barcelona, Spain to Antibes, France in just five days.

There is an opportunity to join the 24 riders on the final day, in a Tribute Ride from La Ciotat, to the finish line in Antibes. Tribute riders are required to raise a minimum of €350, of which €50 is for the Cogs4Cancer cycling jersey. The rest of the money raised will go to cancer charities in the UK and France yet to be announced.

Steve Crowe, managing director of Yachting Pages and Cogs4Cancer rider said, "With more riders than ever, two Tribute Rides and even more miles to cycle, this is set to be a terrific challenge for an amazing cause. I am honoured to be riding again and to be part of such a wonderful association within the superyacht industry.”

Last year, 70 tribute riders came together to cycle alongside the 16 riders on the last stage from San Remo, Italy, to Antibes. The atmosphere was electric and every superyacht berthed on the IYCA blew its horn amongst the hundreds of people gathered to show support.
