Palma International Boat Show hangs the sold out sign

The next edition of the Palma International Boat Show, to be held between 30th April and 4th May, has already surpassed last year’s numbers and is fulfilling the organisation’s expectations, according to the show.

For this reason, the Innovation Management Institute (integrated in the Balearic Government) has closed the contracting process and there is an outstanding waiting list for participation. Consequently, the exhibition space, which is a combination of on land and mooring space, has been increased.

This year’s exposition will take place at the old dock, Moll Vell, of the Port of Palma (Lonja P1-P2-P3, Royal Flush Spring, Old Pier, Moorings Marina and Sports Luggage Spring) from 11:00am to 8:00pm (except on 2nd May, closing at 11:00pm).

Also, for the third consecutive year, coinciding with the International Boat Show, Palma will also host the third edition of the Palma Superyacht Show; a trade show for luxury yachts.

This year’s number of boats has increased, as over 70 sail and motor boats of up to 65 metres will be on display. The show has reported an increase in variety with organisers announcing the presence of large vessels such as the “Mondanga 2” and the “Eleonora”, both exceeding 49 metres in length.

Mr. Joaquín García, minister of economy for the Balearic Islands Government commented, “There are more requests from companies who want to participate than space available. This boat show has positioned itself as a national and international leader in the nautical world.

“The greatest success of this event is having the participation and involvement of all private sectors. Only then, we can reach and achieve the good figures already achieved the previous year, when we broke previous participation records of both companies and visitors and we will go further this year.”
