On the 26th April 2015 Palmawatch will host a round-table discussion at the first ever conference programme dedicated to the refit and repair of superyachts, taking place right alongside the 3rd Palma International Yacht Show and the 32nd Boat show Palma on the 30th April.
With up to 70 yachts from 24 to 65 metres on display, and around half of them being sail boats, the Palma show has established itself as one of the premier events in the world for serious buyers, charterers and industry professionals to gather.
Sylvain Brault the operations director at Palmawatch a man experienced in refit and repair work on large yachts, will moderate the round-table session entitled, ‘the Captain's role in a refit project’, and ‘does the refit industry have enough shore staff with proven sea-going experience’?
It promises to be an interesting session with plenty of input from some of the captains and yacht managers attending the conference, and will blend in with some of the other confirmed round-tables. There will be nine in all, covering a host of subjects related to refits.
Pierre Oberon, managing director at Palmawatch commented, “We are very happy to play our part in making this conference a success, and to join with some of our regular quality component suppliers such as Oceanair, and many other industry colleagues at such an event.
“Palma de Mallorca has become one of the largest and best equipped refit and repair centres in the world with first class facilities and an excellent infrastructure, so its important that we encourage and support more professional forums like this.”
