In the realm of maritime luxury, the quest to offer yacht charter guests the perfect night's sleep has become an art form, one which luxury bed and linen supplier, CC Design, has fully committed to.
Palumbo Superyachts has confirmed that it has sold its 50-metre (164-foot) motor yacht project Columbus S50 to a repeat client, with delivery expected in mid-2020.
The newly commissioned model boats interior and exterior styling from designer Luca Dini and will be built from an aluminium hull and superstructure at the Italian yard’s facility in Ancona.
In a statement, the yard said, “The exterior design expresses dynamism, while maintaining well-balanced proportions, conveying an original style without being over-the-top and ensuring that its aesthetic will never go out of fashion.”
The owner’s desire to enjoy as much natural light as possible has been incorporated within Luca Dini’s design, with the inclusion of extensive glazed surfaces on all decks and lowered gunwhales, which will also provide complete views out to sea.
Other key features of the design include a vertical bow that increases the amount of interior space available; Columbus S50 will possess a 499GT interior.
On-board accommodation will be for 11 guests split across five cabins, while the crew quarters will house up to 11 members of staff.
Further details are being kept under wraps for now, but renderings released by the yard hint at a spa pool on the foredeck and an extensive sky lounge.
Cloumbus S50 will be powered by two 2,000hp MTU engines for a top speed of 20 knots and a transoceanic range at a cruising speed of 15 knots.
