Pershing launches first 70-foot motor yacht

Pershing, a Ferretti Group brand and one of the leading manufacturers of high-performance open motor yachts between 15 and 35 metres in length, is about to launch its new 70-foot yacht, which will be making its international debut at the next Cannes Yachting Festival, from 9th to 14th September.

Work on the first Pershing 70 is almost finished at the Mondolfo plant, the brand’s production cradle and the craft is due to be launched at Marina dei Cesari, in Fano.

According to Pershing Group, the new yacht is the result of the cooperation between yacht designer Fulvio De Simoni, the name behind the entire Pershing range and AYT&D - Advanced Yacht Technology & Design. The Group’s research, style and product development centre will strengthen the brand’s offer in the strategic 60 to 80 feet market segment, only one year after the launch of the Pershing 62, whose success it aims to emulate. Just like the Pershing 62, this new yacht belongs to a “new generation” of Pershing crafts, characterised by increasingly dynamic lines and innovative design solutions.

From the very first glance, the Pershing 70 strikes the eye for its futuristic and imposing shapes, enhanced by a carefully-selected colour palette and original structural design.

The interiors stand out for their innovative layout and décor, characterised by a skilful use of contrasting colours, with the light shades of ash wood of the furniture frames alternating with the dark tones of the lacquered charcoal grey finishes.

The Pershing 70 also boasts impressive engine characteristics and performances. The yacht is fitted with twin MTU 10V 2000 M94 engines (developing a power of 1623 mph), combined with a Top System 85P surface drive system, allowing to achieve a maximum speed of 44 knots and a cruising speed of 39 knots.
