Specialist global logistics company Peters & May, has announced that it has merged with its global logistics brand to create a new, bespoke logistics solution.
A Southampton-based company, Peters & May global logistics has provided specialist logistics and consultancy in the marine sector since 1988. The new merger will see the brand offer clients a broadened solution across six new divisions – Global Boat Transport; Commercial Transport; Superyacht Transport; Racing Logistics; Freight Forwarding and Automotive Transport.
According to a statement from Peters & May, the new-look business will enable operational teams to “focus on specific customer needs”, with a “high quality bespoke approach”, no matter what customers are transporting, from superyachts to hazardous cargo.
Dave Holley, CEO of Peters & May, commented, “Our news reflects the increasing buoyancy of the economy which is seeing many companies like ours make strategic investments to support the recovery of the marine industry and other sectors. It also reflects an ongoing global interest in the high quality personal services that as an independent, we can provide.
“Broadening our reach and re-structuring the business in this way, means that we can offer our high-quality, bespoke service to a wider range of customers; in fact, to anyone that has freight, a seagoing vessel, vehicle, machine or aircraft that needs transporting internationally. Whether by sea, road, rail or air, our reach is truly global with a port-to-port or door-to-door, cost-effective solution every time.”
Peters & May also recently reported a turnover of 52 million euros in 2015, with wholly owned offices in the UK, USA, France, Spain, Hong Kong, China, Italy and Germany. It has also recently opened new offices including Genoa, Italy’s busiest cargo port.
