The motor yacht Picchiotti Galileo G from the Vitruvius series has won the award for ‘exterior design and styling’ in the category displacement motor yachts from 30m to 59.99m at the Showboats Design Awards 2012.
The awards ceremony, organised by Boat International Media was held on 22nd June, 2012 at the Monaco Opera House.
The first Picchiotti motor yacht from the Vitruvius series, the 50m Exuma has also won this accolade.
This award for Galileo G has come just months after it was awarded the ‘best of the best custom megayachts’ prize from the American magazine, Robb Report, which each year finds and highlights the best products produced worldwide for luxury lifestyle.
M/Y Galileo G 55m Ice Class is the second of three yachts sold today by the Perini Navi Group and constructed in collaboration with Vitruvius Ltd and Philippe Briand.
Galileo G has been designed and constructed following the guidelines for Ice Class (ABS Ice Class IB) classification. The third yacht in this Picchiotti brand from the Vitruvius series is currently under construction at the Picchiotti shipyard in La Spezia, Italy. It is scheduled to be delivered in 2013.
