Pininfarina and Rossinavi release ‘breathtaking’ 70m concept at SuperYacht Gallery London

Italian Designer Pininfarina, renowned for its Ferrari designs, released the concept for their 70m Rossanavi Yachts collaboration, M/Y ‘Aurea’, at SuperYacht Gallery’s seminar event last week.

The Ferrari-inspired yacht followed a brief of ‘making the most of the yachting experience’, manifested through cutting edge designs and large social spaces.

Currently looking for an owner, Aurea’s exterior is characterised by concentric rings on its two upper decks, giving a smooth, curvaceous silhouette and extended outdoor areas.

She features two outdoor swimming pools and three impressively large exterior decks. Her considerable beach club is markedly large for a yacht of her size, due to the diesel-electric propulsion being placed in the yacht’s centre, as opposed to the stern.

Aurea’s top deck curves downwards, creating sweeping, soft lines breaking away from the parallel layers of Pininfarina’s previous concept, the 85m M/Y Ottantacinque premiered at the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show.

Many of Auerea’s features are designed to exploit surrounding sea views, such as the extended terrace on the upper deck, the alfresco dining and Jacuzzi situated right on the perimeter of the deck below and private balconies for both owners and guests.

On the lower tier, a semi-circular social area is placed against a transparent swimming pool, flanked by stairs leading down to the sea, giving a striking end to the curved design.
