Porto di Cecina has announced the first edition of the Cecina Boat Festival, to take place in the new port at Cecina, Tuscany between 24th and 26th April 2015, and again between the 1st and 3rd May 2015.
The festival, which will take place across two prime weekends during the Mediterranean yachting season, will display second-hand boats for sale, and premier new models to the public for the very first time in Italy.
Local brokers will display their boat ranges, including motor and sailing yachts of all sizes, as well as RIBs and fishing boats. Previews will include the Dufour 350 sailing cruiser, the Flag Marine 50 and the Leader 36 Open sport powerboat.
The event will also offer up a range of chandlery stands displaying accessories for yachts and fishing boats, and thematic family events within dedicated spaces in the nearby ‘Pineta’ and ‘Costa degli Etruschi’ areas, such as show cooking, food tasting, sports and art exhibitions.
Furthermore, the nearby local produce market will allow attendees to discover fine wines, olive oils, truffles and many other locally produced delicacies.
Located within a private area, Porto di Cecina is a modern marina in Tuscany, Italy, where marine visitors aren’t subject to state regulations. Currently offering more than 600 moorings for yachts measuring from 8m to 40m, the number of moorings is soon expected to be increased to a total of 800 berths.
