The second edition of the Qatar International Boat Show (QIBS) was inaugurated Tuesday 11th November by H.E. the minister of economy and trade, Sheikh Ahmed Bin Jassim Bin Mohamed Al Thani, who cut a red ribbon to formally open the week-long event.
This year’s Qatar International Boat Show is being held from 11th to 15th November at Mourjan Marina in Lusail City, just north of the capital Doha.
He was then accompanied on a tour of the show by the chairman of Snow Comms, who are the the organisers of QIBS, Mr Essa Al Mannai.
Christophe Choroa, the managing director of iconic Swiss watch manufacturer Ulysse Nardin, , showed off a selection of watches with the company’s famous “anchor” branding.
This year’s impressive exhibition covers more than 15,000 square metres of water basin surface and a further 10,000 square metres of outdoor space. The show offers visitors the chance to see a range of motor boats, yachts and traditional dhow boats with a difference, plus a host of marine related equipment and services.
