Qatar International Boat Show has announced a number of new sponsors and exhibitors, including Silver Fast, the fastest long-range cruising yacht.
At a press conference, organisers revealed that Silver Fast would be the largest yacht to dock at Murjan Marinas, as well as the largest ever vessel at the event. The show, which will run from the 7th to the 10th December, will include a variety of prestigious sponsors and exhibitors, including Katara Hospitalirt, Ali Bin Ali Luxury, and Behnemar.
Silver Fast, measuring 77m, is the world’s largest and fastest aluminium motoryacht, able to reach a top speed of almost 29 knots. As the fastest long-range cruising yacht, she is able to cover 4,500nm at a speed of 18 knots, crossing the Atlantic at a record-breaking cruising speed of 22 knots.

Since inception in 2013, QIBS has brought together thousands of the world’s distinguished boat and yacht manufacturers, exhibitors and specialists, from locations such as the UAE, Bahrain, Canada, France, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Monaco, Turkey, Lebanon, Switzerland, Poland, the Czech Republic and the USA, as well as the several other highly esteemed countries in this field.
According to organisers, this year’s show will serve as a “platform for industry leaders to generate new contracts, and to spur business growth”. This aligns with QIBS’s mission to “provide a forum to drive economic prosperity and advance Qatari businesses, in keeping with the show’s pledge to Qatar National Vision 2030”.
HE Sheikh Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al-Thani will officially open the show will at a VIP ceremony on Wednesday 7th December. QIBS’16 will then allow visitors in from 2.30pm to 9.30pm from Thursday to Saturday. Pre-bookings for viewing specific brands and models on display is recommended in advance to avoid disappointment.
