Racing yachts use Lewmar equipment

The J-Class Regatta is taking place on 26th to 30th June, where four J-Class yachts will take to the starting line.  All four participants have chosen Lewmar equipment.  Ranger (J5), referred to as the 'Super J' following her defence of the America's Cup against Endeavour ll will be competing, along with Rainbow (JH2) based on the original winner of the 1934 America’s Cup and developed by Dyktra, Velsheda (JK7) the only original J-Class on the starting line, was designed by Charles Nicholson and built by Camper & Nicholson in 1933 and lastly Lionheart (H1) designed by Hoek Design in the Netherlands will also be racing.

The Pendennis Cup on 2nd to 7th July sees 13 yachts in the racing line up.  The star of the show, Athos, is the largest entrant at 62m.

As usual, Lewmar’s service team will be available for the duration of the regatta to provide support and advice to the crews.

The yachts at both regattas boast a range of Lewmar equipment; some have Lewmar hardware, winches and thrusters and others have Lewmar anchoring system, Navtec hydraulic cylinders and Lewmar steering and docking systems.

Lewmar announced that it is proud to be part of these events and looks forward to these large superyachts experiencing the challenging conditions of racing in UK waters.
