Yachting Pages has put several of the leading safety cases (and other associated products) to the test. The objective: to ascertain how each product performs and determine which one is best equipped to safely contain a lithium battery-induced fire.
It is an exciting time of prosperity and expansion for Southampton based maritime consultancy Regs4ships Ltd, as they announce the opening of their new Fort Lauderdale satellite office.
Listening to the feedback of customers, the company’s superyacht division Regs4yachts has identified a strong client base in the United States of America.
To develop this business the Regs4yachts team are developing strong client focussed services, with an emphasis on delivering that personal touch. The stateside office will be offering a suite of services to Marshall Islands flagged vessels initially and a team of surveyors are ready to start taking enquiries.
Regs4yachts surveyors are on hand to deal with any Marshall Islands regulatory issues, including annual surveys for commercially operating yachts and 84-day operations, where a private yacht can charter for up to 84-days in a year to recover running costs. Other survey work that can be undertaken includes ISM and ISPS audits and external Document of Compliance (DoC) audits.
Pending approval, Regs4yachts surveyors will also be able to undertake Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) 2006 compliance inspections, helping to ensure that commercially operating superyachts are ready ahead of the implementation date of 20 August 2013.
