Riviera announces new design for 6000 Sport Yacht

Australian yacht builder, Riviera, has announced a new ‘presidential’ design for its 6000 Sport Yacht, branded as ‘the ultimate on-water entertainer.’

This hull is the new flagship of Riviera’s Sport Yacht fleet, making her grand premier in August of last year. Ever since, she has been widely acclaimed as a high-performance vessel, with 16 confirmed sales to date.

Rodney Longhurst, owner and chairman of Riviera said, “The presidential design for the sleek 6000 Sport Yachts provides an enlarged floor plan for the full-beam master stateroom which creates an even more expansive and luxurious private retreat for owners, with additional storage and a new casual dining and sitting area, complemented by a superior level of comfort and opulence in the master bathroom that our global family of owners have come to expect from Riviera.

“In this new presidential design, the master bathroom is located forward in a versatile area which also has options for a teenager’s retreat, office space, lower galley or fourth stateroom.”

The ‘presidential stateroom’ features a large dining and sitting area with additional storage and functionality, and expansive hull windows on both sides allowing plenty of natural light to stream through. The 6000 design also features a signature king-size walk-around bed amidships, and a large lounge to starboard.

Longhurst continued, “The 6000 has a level of attention to every detail from bow to stern that confirms she is indeed a world-class Riviera. She combines Riviera’s legendary blue-water performance with an impressive sports-style helm, joystick maneuverability, luxurious accommodation, three bathrooms, contemporary and stylish hull windows and portholes, dual electric sliding sunroofs and fixed skylights, as well as a large, open cockpit with BBQ centre and undercover seating and dining areas.”

She is powered by a Volvo Penta propulsion system with twin IP52-950 533kw pod drives that offer impressive fuel efficiency, low noise levels and long range cruising of 268nm at a high speed of 26 knots. She can reach 31 knots top-end speed under full load.

Wes Moxey, chief executive officer at Riviera said, “Our talented team of international designers and engineers incorporates state-of-the-art technology from around the globe to deliver Riviera owners ‘the ultimate boating experience’.

“The 6000 Sport Yacht includes C-Zone digital switching. This means that you no longer need to decide which circuit-breakers to turn on or off – simply select the mode which best suits the operation of the yacht, such as ‘cruise’, ‘entertain’ or ‘dock unattended’ and the appropriate circuits will be energised or disengaged. These modes can be customised by the owner, so the system works exactly as you want.”

The 6000 Sport Yacht will be at the Riviera Festival of Boating at Coomera on Australia’s Gold Coast (21 to 24 May 2015).
