Riviera Ports announces commercialisation of Port Vauban development plans

Riviera Ports has announced that its commercial team will be attending a series of high-profile yachting events across the Mediterranean this summer to unveil plans for the development of Port Vauban into Europe’s largest port by volume.

With development plans for new facilities and amenities now solidified, the Vauban 21 team is actively starting commercialisation of the project, which will see structural and infrastructure upgrades to the berths themselves, as well as the addition of a new state-of-the-art yacht club, gourmet restaurants and wine bars, new refit and maintenance facilities, and a professional crew-training building.

The initial phase of the development will see the team working with existing berth owners on maximising their benefits through 24-year-term guarantee-of-use agreements.

Having already attended YARE in Viareggio from 18th to 20th April to promote the plans, Vauban 21 is currently in attendance at the 2018 MYBA Charter Show, where it is acting as a sponsor for the Superyacht Chef’s Competition.

The next stop will then be the inaugural edition of LYBRA’s The Superyacht Show, taking place in Barcelona from 2nd to 5th May 2018.

Vauban 21’s business relationship manager, Petra Malloier explained, “We are looking forward to meeting the industry at these events to present the exciting new offering that Vauban 21 can provide clients in Port Vauban.

“Our team has put together excellent and competitive packages for both current and potential berth owners, and the new developments that we are rolling out in the coming years will bolster our position as the best marina in the Mediterranean.

“It is an exciting time for Port Vauban, and we have already had very positive feedback from captains based in the marina over the winter. We anticipate it being a busy few months before the early bird deadline comes to a close at the end of June.”
