Riviera Radio has announced record listener figures for 2016, as it celebrates the fifth edition of seasonal show Top Yachts.
Speaking to Yachting Pages Media Group, managing director Paul Kavanagh recently revealed that figures have grown year on year for the station since Top Yachts was launched, and the show is now “more popular than ever.”
Broadcast on the hour every Tuesday to over 250,000 listeners, Top Yachts presents a range of industry news and advice aimed at yachting professionals. The show covers an array of topical issues, from yacht provisioning and new destination ideas, to refit and recruitment.
Paul also commented, “There’s something for everyone on Top Yachts. We’ll be broadcasting from Cannes and Monaco throughout the Med season, as well as working with a number of yacht clubs to broadcast all the big sailing competitions, and acting as the soundtrack to each race.”
Riviera Radio is also due to launch a new-look website and app over the coming months. The app, available on iOS and Android will feature podcasts, video content, traffic reports and a guide to what’s happening in the Riviera, as well as the daily edition of Top Yachts.
Speaking about the launch of the website and app, Paul said, “The new website will offer a new and improved yachting section for users, while the app will allow people to listen to our shows from all over the world, giving them the Riviera feeling wherever they are.”
