Sanlorenzo launches 29m superyacht Blue Angel II

Italian shipyard, Sanlorenzo has started 2016 with the launch of the 29m motor yacht, Blue Angel II – the first of six superyacht launches scheduled over the next two months. The new hull is the 15^th SL96 unit sold and built by Sanlorenzo to date.

Inaugurated at a special event at the shipyard, she is the fourth Sanlorenzo for this Italian owner, who attended the launch alongside his family and the Sanlorenzo workforce that contributed to the boat’s design and construction over the past year.

Accommodating up to ten guests, Blue Angel II features a traditional custom layout, with a large owner’s suite on the main deck and four guest cabins located on the lower deck. It’s made from fibreglass, and has a planing hull.

The ‘high-low system’, developed by the Sanlorenzo technical department, features in the design, located at the bow in the superstructure of the dining area and owner’s cabin. The system slides up and down as required to allow the windows to enlarge and let more light in, whilst the external lines of the vessel are kept clean and elegant.

The interior of the superyacht has been designed by some of Italy’s finest design firms, fitted with white leather sofas from Minotti and an outdoor kitchen and galley by Boffi.

Two more units of the SL96 model are planned over the coming weeks, along with three units of the SL106 model, and a single unit of the recently launched SL86 range – the latest model of the Sanlorenzo SL planing hull range, launched at Cannes in September 2015.
