SMART Technical Management has announced a new company name, SMART Technology Advisers, in order to make its services clearer to its clients and future customers.
SMART has been serving the superyacht and high-end residential markets with complete technology and electronic consultancy services under the name SMART Technical Management for the last three years. It hopes that its new name will now portray a clearer representation of its services for clients, both present and future, with the name change taking affect as of 1st September 2016.
Kerry Pettitt from SMART explained, “The last three years have been hugely successful for SMART, with the current financial barometer registering a massive $10m+ worth of savings for owners of new build and refit yachts. Despite these successes, we felt the time is now right to fine-tune what makes us one of the leading independent technology advisers in the superyacht industry.
“After speaking with our customers, we decided that the term ‘Technical Management’ could be misleading and confusing, especially when compared to the services provided by yacht managers. What we do is new and hasn’t been done before, so we wanted a name that describes what we do instantly - something that defines our function and is understandable. The name has to be one that is in line with the SMART ethos of being clear and simple.”
