Spirit of Valencia offshore powerboat racing team extends structure

The competition team Spirit of Valencia Offshore Powerboat Racing Team has expanded its professional structure by appointing Antonio Vázquez as marketing and sponsorship manager. With this appointment, the team consolidates the area dedicated to designing value propositions for brands and strengthens the relationship with their sponsors.

Owner and team manager of Spirit of Valencia, Michael Robert Gill, insisted on the many opportunities that the team can generate in the field of marketing, developing for its sponsoring brands communication in which they have secured their return on investment.

Michael commented, "The project has a capacity of almost unlimited growth, which goes far beyond mere sponsoring a professional racing team. We offer our sponsors a complete communication platform 360, and this requires a professional Team in this area.”

Antonio Vázquez is a professional with extensive experience in the world of communication, and an expert in experiential marketing and content. He is also director general of the agency BrokenB Sport & Marketing.

The ceremony was attended by the team chief mechanic and first of three trainee pilots to Spirit of Valencia offshore powerboat racing team, Emilio Cortell, a Valencian professional with extensive experience in mechanical engineering and marine competition, who has also worked for some of the top motorcycle teams of Spain.

The venue for the signing of the agreement was the spectacular Hotel Las Arenas, located next to the Marina Real Juan Carlos I of Valencia

Director general, D. Carlos Boga, supported the signing, and personally took charge of providing all the necessary measures so that the event ran to perfection.

The team is preparing its participation for the 2015 season in the European Powerboat P1 Superstock Championship Racing Series, known as the "Formula 1 of the sea".

The two trainee pilot places are still vacant. To cover them, the team will select and train young Spanish deserving pilots.
