Spirit Yachts appoints new managing director

Leading yacht designers and builders, Spirit Yachts has announced the appointment of Nigel Stuart as managing director.  Nigel will take the company into a new phase of development as they open their new Hong Kong office.

Nigel Stuart joins Spirit Yachts after leaving Discovery Yachts where he has been managing director since 2008; where he successfully developed four of the five models in the Discovery Yacht range and turned the company into a world leader in blue water sailing.

With over 20 year’s marine management experience and with a background in mechanical and electrical engineering, Nigel is the perfect choice to lead the Spirit team into the next phase of their development. 

Sean McMillan will continue as chief executive and chief designer with Kevin Felix remaining as chairman.
