After being named a finalist for ShowBoats Design Awards 2015 Environmental Protection Award, another great recognition has arrived for M/Y Gatsby, a Filippetti designed Navetta 30 hull, as she has made the final of the World Superyacht Awards 2015.
Entering the category for ‘Displacement Motor Yachts of below 500GT – 30m to 42.99m’, Gatsby will compete with an impressive group of finalists for the title, including a list of some of the best superyachts built and delivered to their owner in the last 12 months.
The jury for this prestigious award will be made up of 18 superyacht owners and two high-level professionals, who have already visited the boat during its world premier at the Cannes Boat Show. The final awards ceremony will take place in Amsterdam in May this year.
While the World Superyacht Awards recognises superyachts in their entirety, the ShowBoats Design Awards focuses on the fundamental design aspect of superyachts, including naval architecture, exterior design and interior layout.
Earning a place to compete for two major awards, the first Filippetti designed Navetta 30 has confirmed its high quality and success as an environmentally friendly ‘green boat’. Designed to environmentally sustainable criteria, Gatsby boasts a displacement hull, soft rounded lines, low emissions and consumption.
She has a fuel tank capacity of 27,000 litres and a low power consumption allowing her to travel long distances without the need for intermediate supplies.
Great importance has also been given to the comfort and the large spaces on board. The interior of Gatsby was completely customised by the owner to maximise comfort. She has six cabins and a deck which is fully dedicated to the owner; an unusual layout for the boat of this size.
