Sunseeker sells four 131 superyachts

Sunseeker International has announced that the first four yachts of its tri-deck Sunseeker 131 range have already been sold. The announcement comes at the same time as CGI images of the new 131 yacht, currently under production, were released. 

Set to be launched in 2016, the new yacht is based upon the successful 40-metre 131 yacht, which accommodates up to 10 guests across five cabins as standard, with the option to increase accommodation for up to 12 depending on the hull layout and design options selected. As a custom yacht, the new owner will be able to tailor the interior layout and design to suit his/her living requirements and preferences.

The first four of these stunning yachts have already been sold to clients from the US, Turkey, UK and Hong Kong, underlining strong demand and global appeal we’re seeing for this exciting new evolution in design. Investment in new product is at the heart of our business with this 131 yacht being one of four new models in the 2015/16 model year.”

The 131 is based on the classic Sunseeker deep-V hull. Powered by twin fixed-pitch submerged propellers, the hull is able to reach a top speed of up to 25 knots, achieving a range of up to 1,500 nautical miles at 10 to 12 knots. 

Build time for each new 131 yacht is around one year, with the capacity in place to have up to five yachts in build simultaneously. The next available delivery slot is for November 2016.
