Back in 2009 Erdevicki Superyacht Design, Inc. started construction of the 110ft Durabo performance sailing ketch at Adrenalin Marine in Canada, however the deepening financial crises stopped production and she has since mothballed.
The client has now agreed that the design can be offered to other interested maxi yacht enthusiasts. Potential clients have been issued a challenge by Erdevicki Inc. to save the design costs and build the boat.
The boat is designed to be built in aluminium with a carbon fibre mast and features a bulbous hydraulically lifting keel, outwardly sloping transom incorporating a tender garage and doubling as a beach, dual rudders and bow and stern anchor pockets.
The deck forward is sleek and uncluttered with all hatches and equipment mounted flush on the deck. Almost entirely made of glass the deckhouse is a piece of art.
There is a generous owner’s luxury suite aft and five spacious double-guest cabins, together with a library and lower deck salon and an impressive galley. The main salon is in the deckhouse with panoramic view glass windows and a gallery-type open area to the aft with plenty of space for entertaining and leisure.
