Under the leadership of The New Yachts Company, a team of experienced superyacht designers and developers have joined together to create a new superyacht platform, set to change the way the industry thinks about semi-custom superyachts.
Prime will have a customisable aluminium superstructure, built by Bloesmsma Yachts in the Netherlands.
As a semi-custom design, clients are encouraged to work with designers to further personalise the concept.
The 50-metre platform supports a range of different superstructures and interior layouts.
M/Y Prime is an engineered 50m platform, designed to support a range of different superstructures and interior layouts. She offers an alternative ‘collection’ of layouts to the client to suit their preferences, pre-designed by the studios of Reymond Langton Design and Luiz de Basto.
Azure Yacht Design & Naval Architecture has worked on the project’s flexible engineering solutions, from the pipework to electrical and mechanical systems. Bob van den Meiracker of the company said, “Prime is in our minds a platform that offers so much space that it creates a 70-metre yachting experience on a 50-metre yacht.”
The project is to be built entirely from aluminium at Bloemsma Yachts in the Netherlands. Headed by Daan Balk, the shipyard will be working together with all technical members of the build team to deliver a seamless experience.
As a semi-custom design, clients are encouraged to further personalise the concept, either with the original design team or with a designer of their choice.
