Superyacht Golden Ticket: Did you make the shortlist?

Last year The Crew Report launched its Superyacht Golden Ticket crew survey: 126 questions on every aspect of life on board as a crewmember. The aim for them was to get valuable insight into life on board.

More than 40 companies in the superyacht industry donated prizes, ranging from holidays and Apple Watches to training vouchers and radio systems for the yacht. Each crewmember’s entry is counted so when the yachts were shortlisted at random, the more crewmembers from a yacht that took the survey, the more chance the yacht had of winning.

The Crew Report has narrowed it down to a shortlist of 10 yachts from each size category in the survey, where more than one crewmember from the yacht took the survey. The winning yacht, which will receive the treasure chest of prizes worth more than €60,000, will be announced on 7th November 2015, at the National Marine Suppliers’ crew party during the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS).

At the crew party there will be 100 golden beach balls. Each of the 10 yachts in the shortlist has been allocated a number between 1 and 10, which will be printed on 10 beach balls.

During the party, Dean du Toit, founder of National Marine Suppliers, will pick one of the golden beach balls. The yacht from the shortlist that is linked to the number on that beach ball will be the winner.
