Technohull confirms new 38 Grand Sport can exceed 100 knots

Technohull has confirmed its new 12-metre model, the 38 Grand Sport, has achieved speeds exceeding 100 knots in recent tests.

To achieve speeds of 100 knots – with stability and exceptional safety – the new model features a hull with a 24-degree effective deadrise angle and an 80-degree bow waterline entry angle.

After facing several challenges, the Greek shipyard opted for a streamlined, hydrodynamic profile, which has been created with the help of computer programming and hull structure algorithms. The profile allows optimisation for strake geometry, step number, step positioning and the variable dead-rise distribution along the hull’s surface.

The internal layout of the new Technohull 38 Grand Sport has been developed around the centre console and includes a small cabin or a single seat. The wrap-around seats are shock absorbing, ensuring safety and comfort even during adverse conditions.

Once at anchor the model offers two large, full-width sunbathing areas, one forwards and another at the stern.

Technohull is currently formulating a number of new products, including the extreme version of 3x400 outboards, which has exceeded the 100 knots mark on an almost-day-cruiser configuration.

According to the shipyard the triple 400hp outboard option can get passengers from Athens to Mykonos Island in just one hour.
