Teignbridge Propellers appoints new technical manager

Alex Stevens has joined Teignbridge Propellers as technical manager following a move from Princess Yachts International where he was head of quality and engineering.

He brings his understanding of meeting demanding customer needs and experience of working to the highest levels of technical excellence and innovation to Europe’s largest propeller and stern gear manufacturer, based in Newton Abbot, Devon

Alex Stevens said, “I hope my previous experience from the other side of the fence as a customer with exacting demands will help me build on Teignbridge’s position as a global leader in design and manufacture of propellers and stern gear. From leisure and commercial craft to superyachts, I understand what customers want and need from their propulsion systems and what we can do to deliver that, as well as developing innovations to improve performance further.”

Alex brings with him a background in shipyard management, design and engineering, having previously worked in commercial shipyards in Croatia and the Middle East.

Leading innovators in computerised and mechanised marine engineering processes, Teignbridge produce the finest bronze and steel propellers and stern gear from raw materials to the finished polished article at one world-leading facility.
