The Antibes Yacht Show Uncovered…

The Antibes Yacht Show, which closed its doors on Sunday 15th April 2012 saw 13,380 visitors admiring the 130 yachts on display.

It seems that the changeable weather simply pushed away the curious, but did not discourage serious buyers.  There were a wide variety of vessels at the Show from 15 to 49 meters: motor yachts, sailing yachts and catamarans, from 200,000 to tens of millions of Euros.

This year, a large number of vessels of 40 meters plus stood out from the crowd.  They were exhibited by Hill Robinson Yacht Management, Neo Yachting, Blue Navigation Ltd, Unique Yachting Monaco, A7 Rent, Gaspard Yachts, K & K Superyachts and International Yacht Collection.

The new seminars welcomed up to 80 people who attended the most interesting debates, including Yacht Info organised by ISS, MYBA and PYA on Fri 13th April.

The new luxury vehicles’ partner of the show was Modena Motors.  They showcased Ferraris and a Maserati, exhibited next to the terrace of the restaurant, in front of the biggest yachts.

The charity Eco Crew’s team managed to educate visitors and exhibitors throughout the show and rose in total (donations and selling cupcakes) €1,700.

The late night evening, introduced this year for the first time enabled the exhibitors to receive visitors until 9pm.  There were many cocktails on the stands, and apparently many good deals were made at that time.

Finally the raffle, set up to thank visitors for agreeing to send us their information was drawn at the end of the show.  The Grand Prize winner (offered by Air France) is M. Christopher Bode from Monaco.  He won a case of 12 bottles of Chateau l'Arrosée 2000.  The winners of the 2nd to 5th prizes (offered by Positive Beauty and Café Marianne) included Ash Woodford, Claudi Barontini, Jonathan Cheetham and Olivier de Quillacq.  The detailed list of prizes can be found at www.antibesyachtshow.com

The show organisers are already looking ahead to next year’s event.
