At the end of every summer season, the glamorous Principality of Monte-Carlo acts as the idyllic backdrop to one of the world’s most renowned superyacht events, the Monaco Yacht Show. Everybody in the industry is already talking about their participation in this historic event and demand on tickets is high.
From 19th to 22nd September, the 2012 MYS will again bring together the captains of industry, the savvy owners and their representatives and the highest-net-worth clientele over four days of intensive meetings and viewings with 500 of the leading superyacht international companies on the stands. The finest shipyards, the top yacht designers, the main broker agencies and the best superyacht equipment suppliers will all exhibit their most innovative products and luxury services.
Organisers of the Monaco Yacht Show predict this year’s edition of the event to be yet another busy year. Gaëlle Tallarida, managing director of the event, commented: “The show offers no end of excellent opportunities to meet the key actors of the superyacht industry. Where else will you find such a profusion of owners, qualified buyers and sellers of superyachts walking the docks to discover over 100 exclusive superyachts? It is the Monaco Yacht Show that brings them altogether and it is at the show that some of the most important networking takes place.”
In port Hercules 106 spectacular superyachts up to 90 meters in length and around 40 new builds will be unveiled.
The show organisers have already registered the participation of a few outstanding superyachts like Mogambo, a 74m steel hulled megayacht by the German shipyard Nobiskrug; the 50.50m Better Place, the world’s largest sloop in carbon fiber delivered by the Monaco-based shipyard Wally; Diamonds are Forever, an elegant 61m megayacht launched by Benetti in November 2011 and Vertigo, a 67.2m vessel built by Alloy Yachts and named “Sailing Superyacht of the Year” during the 2012 World Superyacht Awards and with five International Superyacht Awards to date, it will definitely be one of the most awaited superyachts in Monaco.
This year the introduction of the new MYS Upper Deck Lounge will allow participants to hold meetings and invite customers to indulge in top-flight menus in the show’s official restaurant. A 650m² reception complex in the heart of the yacht show area designed by interior decorators Sabrina Monte-Carlo in collaboration with Italian designer Paola Lenti, the French crystal manufacturer Baccarat and the art gallery Opera Gallery.
A world-class event firmly in the diary of every superyacht enthusiast, industry professional and owner, MYS offers top services, including the VIP shuttle with car manufacturer BMW, newly official sponsor of the 2012 MYS.
