Tourism Australia Shares Plans to 'Target Superyacht Owners' at ASMEX

A new Tourism Australia campaign targeted at high net worth (HNW) tourists, including superyacht owners and charter guests, will be discussed at ASMEX, the Australian Superyacht and Marine Export Conference on 22nd to 23rd May.

Tourism Australia has over the past two years developed a strong relationship with Superyacht Australia, the peak body for the Australian superyacht sector.

The announced campaign follows Superyacht Australia’s recent merger with the Australian International Marine Export group (AIMEX) which organises the ASMEX conference.

The conference will be held at Sanctuary Cove, a luxury resort in the Gold Coast area of Queensland, Australia, and takes place immediately prior to the Sanctuary Boat Show (May 24th to 27th).

Craig Davidson, General Manager Destination Development for Tourism Australia, will give a special talk at ASMEX about the importance and significance of the superyacht sector to Australia’s tourism.

Tourism Australia has various strategies that it hopes will interact with the superyacht industry. These plans could mark a significant step forward for the industry, and will be a crucial focus of Superyacht Australia’s marketing campaign.
