TAG Global Training, a leading aviation training company based in the UK, has recently announced a partnership with ACREW at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show. The aim of delivering a training masterclass on the synergies between airline crew and yacht crew when dealing with the demands of the ultra high net worth individuals .
In Monaco, as well as traditional workshops, ACREW delivers its masterclasses which, according to ACREW include collaborations of industry leading experts sharing their knowledge on the most crucial topics. The PYA then has its annual seminars upstairs on the crew deck and crew can benefit from personal consultations for both their careers and personal finances.
Debbie Elliott, training manager at TAG Global Training, commented, “The focus of the masterclass is ‘Crew Resource Management and Human Factors’. This session is perfect for captains and chief stewards wishing to understand the lessons learned from aviation and how these core skills are transferable to the yachting community.
“The elements of crew resource management are the ‘building blocks to promoting safety and enhancing the efficiency of an operation’. The session will show how important it is to resolve conflict within a team, the impact of personalities and attitude coupled with commercial and owner pressures.
“Unlike the HELM course, our focus is not just on the competence or capability of the crew but to give crew the ability to identify their ‘Threat of the day’”.
