Transas Marine, manufacturer of simulator navigation systems has completed installation of a simulator complex at the Istanbul University. The scope of supply includes a full mission navigational simulator NTPRO 5000 and a four-workplace multifunction simulator class that will enable training in ship handling, radio-communication and liquid cargo handling operations.
One of the challenges of this project was the requirement to house a 270-degree visualisation bridge in a space-constraint room, however Transas Marine was able to provide a solution that Istanbul University was very happy with.
Taking into account the university's plans to move to new facilities in the future, Transas provided a configurable and cost-effective solution for easy dismantling and reassembly.
