Turquoise Yachts reports on construction of latest 66m project

Construction has commenced on Turquoise Yachts’ latest superyacht project: a 66m motor yacht designed by Nuvolari Lenard. The yacht’s steel keel has been laid and construction will now continue until 2019, when she is expected to be delivered to her owner.

The ‘powerful yet elegant’ design yields a high volume interior, said to be larger than on most yachts of similar length and capabilities. Mehmet Karabeyoglu, CEO at Turquoise Yachts commented on the project, “A client for a 60-metre plus yacht is looking for the same uncompromising amenities as a client looking to purchase an 80-metre plus yacht.”

Dan Lenard of the yacht’s design firm, Nuvolari Lenard, said, ”Optimization is the key word. The layout of the 66-metre flawlessly integrates the exterior styling with the interior, optimizing spaces and minimizing any conflict between functionality and the prime real estate.”

Twelve guests are accommodated across six guest cabins in addition to the owner’s suite, as well as accommodation for 18 crew. Exterior amenities include a large 6.2m pool on the main aft deck with an additional Jacuzzi placed on the sundeck two levels above.
