Turquoise Yachts unveils latest renderings of 53m superyacht Tala

Turkish shipyard Turquoise Yachts has released new renderings of Tala, its new 53-metre (174-foot) superyacht due for delivery in 2020.

The Istanbul-based yard has also revealed further details of the vessel, which features interiors and exteriors from Miami’s DeBasto Designs. She boasts three decks and an “extraordinary” 720GT volume.

Tala will feature an owner’s suite and VIP room forward on the main deck, with four additional guest rooms on the lower deck. There will be torrents of natural light in her interiors thanks to large windows, and fittings and fixtures will be crafted from semi-precious woods and materials for a complementary décor.

Outside, owners and guests can enjoy a beach club – complete with sauna, gym and dive store – and a big swim platform with simple access to the sea. On the top level, Tala has a spacious all-weather sundeck with a sizeable hard top and BBQ; forward of this is a luxury spa pool.

Captain’s quarters are located behind the wheelhouse, with the remaining crewmembers housed in five double cabins and one single. Crew pathways throughout are segregated from guest areas.

In a statement accompanying the renderings, designer Luiz DeBasto commented, “With Tala’s enormous volume… my objective was to make the exterior less bulky and give a feeling of a forward dynamic movement, rather than a static feel. I wanted the design to show movement and purpose from any angle. I achieved this with the long ascending line from the swim platform all the way up to the mast and down to the pilothouse windshield.”

Power comes from dual Caterpillar C32 1,300hp engines, giving her a top speed of approximately 15 knots.

Tala’s construction began on spec and is now offered for sale.
