In the realm of maritime luxury, the quest to offer yacht charter guests the perfect night's sleep has become an art form, one which luxury bed and linen supplier, CC Design, has fully committed to.
Dutch yacht design studio, Van Geest Design, has revealed their latest design for a 40-metre superyacht to be named ‘Ocean Nomad’. The new concept has been created for an experienced yachtsman who gave a brief for a multi-purpose yacht able to navigate all oceans.
The new hull will feature a sky deck with large open space, accessible from the bridge deck below. Designed with relaxation and entertainment in mind, the sky deck will feature a Jacuzzi with surrounding sunbathing platform and a lounge/dining area, barbeque, bar, day head, storage area and observatory seating. The centre section is shaded by a large canopy.
Below, she will accommodate guests over a five-cabin layout, with a full beam owner’s stateroom located on the main deck and four guest cabins on the lower deck.
The bridge deck houses the main salon with a 270-degree panoramic view and sliding door opening to the extensive aft deck, creating a light and airy ambiance. Forward of the salon is a gym with further sliding doors to the outside.
The aft deck will also have a full panoramic view, which can, if necessary, be protected from the sun by an overhead awning and eventual side panels. All deck furniture can be removed to accommodate a touch-and-go helipad, whilst the foredeck gives access to crew seating, crew tender storage, anchorage and mooring equipment.
Ocean Nomad boasts unique tender storage facilities on the aft deck with a small overhead crane to assist in handling sports equipment and supplies. The lower deck aft has a large bay to store a 30ft explorer tender.
