Vanuatu's marine industry shows signs of growth

Vanuatu, a popular destination in the South Pacific Ocean, is anticipating an increase in yacht traffic for 2013.

Vanuatu Yacht Services, a leading yacht agent in Vanuatu, supported various large yachts in 2012, including M/Y VVS1, S/Y Chimera and M/Y Wabi Sabi, and are predicting a busy yachting season ahead.

According to Vanuatu Yacht Services, "We are working together with our partners and friends towards establishing Vanuatu as a viable Pacific destination for larger yachts".

Over the past several months they have been working with Ocean Blue Fishing, in the setting up of S/Y Rendezvous. This yacht is set up and customised for remote fishing and adventure expeditions throughout Vanuatu.

VYS claimed, The first “test trip” was hugely successful and has had the guests raving about what Vanuatu had to offer and are returing shortly for more.

The 60 ft Fountaine Pajot Catamaran, S/Y "Rendezvous" is available for luxury yacht charters in conjunction with Ocean Blue Fishing.
