Italian entertainment specialists, Videoworks has reported success of their latest event which took place on Friday 18th July, in the beautiful location of MAST in Bologna. The event included architects, engineers and designers and offered interesting insights and new ideas for future projects.
The MAST building is unique in Italy and includes functional and technological environments such as a gallery, academy and auditorium, as well as a restaurant and gym. Videoworks were responsible for the integration of audio/visual systems and home automation, as well as assessment of the sound and lighting.
The welcome by the MAST Foundation introduced Sara Stimilli, head of communication at Videoworks’ and Davide Urso, area manager, who refered to their society as "a reference point" in Italy, in the integration of AV, home automation, entertainment and communication’ systems in three sectors: residential, yachting and conference.
Nicola Leonardi, editor of The Plan magazine, gave guests an overview of the current architectural trends around the world, including Brazil, Europe and Japan.
Sponsor Cisco Systems and its representatives Stefano Pambianchi and Michele Dalmazzoni, took part via a video conferencing live demo from London. Underlining the need to connect live from anywhere and from any mobile device and allowing people to participate in meetings, making immediate decisions, sharing files and documents (also in 3D as it does with "Augmented Reality"), saving time and costs and promoting change and technological advancement.
The Samsung sponsor Corrado Mazzone and Crestron sponsor Roberto Ravaioli emphasised the importance of the integration of systems in the field of health, education and also in finance and fashion, with ad hoc solutions studied in detail.
