Viking Recruitment appoints new chef recruitment head

UK-based crew recruitment agency, Viking Recruitment, has appointed Mike Carr – an ex-yacht and high-end restaurant chef with over ten years of experience in the culinary industry – as a new member of its recruitment team based in Auckland, NZ.

His role will be focused solely on chef recruitment, and he has recently returned from a long period overseas, predominantly working in the yachting sector.

As owners and guests alike demand more of the world’s best food and cooking on board superyachts, Viking calls his appointment a reflection of “the importance our customers are demanding in the area of chef selection.”
